A mandate or power of attorney allows a person (principal) to delegate certain powers of legal representation to any other person (agent) of their choice.

Any person  or entity wishing to mandate a person in Haiti to represent them as an agent must present to the Consulate  relevant documentation, valid passport accompanied by proof of their nationality or Haitian origin. Proof could be a birth certificate or a passport. The principal must be able to provide the following information about the agent: Name(s), and first name(s); address and tax identification card (NIF) or passport number
